these 4 words were all the trigger this Advert by BetterHelp.com needed to get doom-scrollers attention online (and to get the guy in the video talking about his aspirations too).
the sad soundtrack in the background gets us to lean in more, forget about our worries and empathize with this young man’s pains.
the plot twist that happened next will blow your mind (if you’ve listened to the audio tho).
this creates even more dopamine in our minds and gets us curious about how this movie is supposed to end.
the plot twist was “i mean, what do you wanna eat?” 😅
that element of surprise is genius and relatable because we’ve all attempted to ask a friend a question and they interrupt with an answer hoping they knew what you were about to ask, right? 😄
my point is, when companies use real-life touchpoints to drive their message, it makes it easier for doubters (like me) to TRY their product.
it’s why you TRY out every weekly Jollof-Write too. Because you know it’ll be something fun-to-read, From the headlines like “1 minute, please?” to the small letters instead of capitals (tell me you’ve noticed?) to not being able to predict what you’ll get served next.
