About school and late submission of assignments, there's a popular (not very helpful) saying among my course mates, that goes, “If it's not the due date, it's not the do-date”😂.
Here's a quick bio on all of them in that wallpaper:
So I'm going to start from the very first person on the top left. It's Seth Godin. He's like the OG marketer, writing and marketing on the internet. Basically, he was one of those first people that launched on the internet. He was briefly vice president at Yahoo and eventually left. To go create his own internet businesses. Wildest thing about him is He has written a daily blog for over 10 years now. https://seths.blog
the second guy is David Perell. He's an advocate for online writing. He talks a lot about this in his articles, essays, just the idea of like being citizens of the internet as writers. These days he’s very much into capturing the stories of writers: https://youtube.com/@davidperellchannel?si=TDJXn_V2ZarGGS17
The third guy is Cole Schafer. he's an amazing copywriter. think of him a modern day David Ogilvy. He styles his newsletters like an old soul living in the modern. https://www.coleschafer.com
the fourth being the lady is one of my favorite, actually my favorite copywriter. Her name is Laura Belgray and she's as twisted as, as twisted can be. But reading her work has made me the type of writer that I am today. https://www.talkingshrimp.com
the 5th guy is Salem Kinging, who I think you probably know. He's like one of the top Nigerian content creators, popularly known as the black and white guy. https://www.instagram.com/salemkinging
The 6th guy is, Eddie schleyner. he's actually an amazing copywriter that disguises as a writer, but he does a lot of copywriting in the background, but he's so graceful the way he goes about writing. And I just love him. https://www.linkedin.com/in/eshleyner
7th guy is someone I met during the pandemic on Instagram.
he's like a rebellious marketer and copywriter at the same time. someone that just does things very differently. If you go through his Instagram posts, especially earlier on, you would find how interesting he ties popular concepts and twists them around to something new.
The 8th guy is Gary Vee. even though I don't really consume much of his content anymore, because they're just too high on motivation, but he is an OG of the start-from-scratch business guy. https://www.instagram.com/garyvee
the 9th guy is Dickie Bush. He’s one of the guys that started ship 30 for 30 which is a school where you have to write for 30 days online and publish for 30 days. A way to force people into into the world of online writing.
the 11th guy is Nicolas Cole. He also the partner to Dickie Bush, who is also runs the 30, ship 30 for 30 program that I mentioned. https://x.com/nicolascole77
the 12th guy is Chris Doo. Oh, what an amazing guy. an amazing designer. graceful and rebellious thinker. has very diverse and unique views on marketing and branding. https://www.instagram.com/thechrisdo
The 13th guy is Dave Obada. one of my mentors earlier in the day, an amazing man of God and a business god. https://www.instagram.com/daveobada
the 14th guy is known as the the third door guy. That name came out of a his book called “the third door. He studied a lot of these greats guys and figured out how they got into limelight. he found out that a lot of them went through the third door. The 3rd door being like a very unconventional route to get to where they're trying to get to. And so he did a lot of research and interviewed them and turned that into the book. https://www.instagram.com/alexbanayan
the 15th guy is Austin Kleon (https://austinkleon.com) who rebranded or brought back to life the art of blackout poetry. So it's like you take out a newspaper and you black out a lot of words and you form new words, very close to what Jamal does on Substack here: https://substack.com/@jamalrobinson
the last guy on the bottom right is a guy who blew my mind with his business. He created a business that disguises as a cupcake brand, but they actually sell t-shirts. And so they designed their stores to trick people into thinking that they're actually a bakery when they're not. They pissed a lot of folks off because they thought when they found out. That kind of created word of mouth marketing. https://johnnycupcakes.com
DAMN!!! I gotta find me a vegan recipe for jollof! I’ve got jambalya down, but never tried jollof…yet. Soon, very soon!!! The 22nd be damned! Every any day can be jollof day.
Lots of the things we did in school were pointless. I think the most I learned was perseverance and long suffering which wasn’t intentional on our teachers’ part. 😐
hahahaha! that perseverance and long suffering are 2 elements i’ll say school taught me unintentionally.
i look back and i would never have it any other way. I failed so much, i started to understand how failure works in the real world and how to seat with it. Because unfortunately, it’s the door way to success.

The jollof is so mouth watering🤩😍

But the way I like your WhatsApp chat background. I can see Ali Abdaal and Nicolas Cole.

🤣🤣I once read that, rushing to submit your assignment while the teacher is leaving the class is an extreme sport! 😂
