you can fart as long as you don't do it in a Public Bus
And you don't drag me into your mess!
just like my recent trip on public transport. A gas lighter from the backseat let it rip (with gusto), leaving me as the primary suspect. The fragrance started right in the middle of the bus (exactly where I sat), making me the primary suspect, and even worse—I also thought it was me. 😪
A serial gaslighter who just successfully gaslighted me.
we’ve all been there, trying to hold it in like a secret, but sometimes it’s difficult for our body to take “no” for an answer.
but before you let it rip, consider a few things first: Place, time, and accountability to avoid dragging others into your mess.
Rule #1: Place
Place, place, place. Sure, that burrito wrap might have filled you up so much that you can’t wait to explode.
but slow down.
Rule #2: Timing is Everything
Even If you have to fart in that bus, for the love of whatever you believe in, wait until the coast is clear. You’re not about to drop a bomb on commuters who are packed tighter than a can of sardines and are ONLY trying to get home safely.
Rule #3: Accountability
Own it, but don’t flaunt it. Sometimes, our bodies betray us in the most embarrassing ways. If you accidentally let one slip, own up to it with a discreet nod of acknowledgment or at least, a well-timed cough to mask the sound.
most importantly, do NOT make eye contact with fellow passengers unless you want to be known as the villain of bus 58?
Bonus Tip #4: Blame it on the dog
When all else fails, blame it on the dog poop you stepped on before entering the bus. It’s the perfect excuse because it not only shifts the blame but also gives you an immediate sympathy card—who can be mad at you when your shoes are the real victims here?
So, the next time you feel the urge to gaslight, remember these simple rules of farting etiquette. No one might say thank you, but at least you’ll avoid being the butt of everyone’s jokes.
Unmute your Mic1 :
What’s the funniest excuse you’ve ever used to cover up an awkward moment?
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt unfairly blamed for something? How did you clear the air?
What’s your worst public transport experience?
Well…I guess it’s true. If given enough time, one will have the opportunity to read things, here, that one would never believe could be written here.
Uh…thanks Tobi???
LOL! 🤣
Toouuugh!!! 🤣
