Maybe you get stranded?
Maybe you need to order an uber?
Maybe you need to use google map?
If you’re anything like me, in that moment, it can be difficult or awkward to ask anyone to help you with their phone or even worse—to share their internet with you.
But imagine you saw a shirt that said this:
Would you be more open to ask or not?
For me, I’ll definitely be MORE willing to ask not just for hotspot but for the shirt too.
Okay. Maybe asking them for the shirt in that moment might be a stretch because that’ll be too much visuals my eyes doesn’t need. 🫣 (but at least I’d like to know where they got the shirt).
Also, I don’t mind being a walking wifi for someone who might be stranded.
Whoever is rocking such a shirt is begging for attention and interaction and hoping that someone will ask them for help.
Eventually, you choose to engage them but don’t even realize how much joy you’ve brought into this person’s life. You might never be able to cure the world’s poverty, but you can put a smile on people’s faces as much as they put a smile on your face by helping you get back online and catch your ride.
But it’s really about the little things. Whether you’re the one rocking this shirt or you’re the one asking for help. A beautiful friendship can come out of nothing, out of someone who was just a stranger one second ago.
It's crazy the things we could be doing, the relationships we could be making if we just detached ourselves from our phones for a moment to interact with others! Even if its to ask for a hotspot to get back onto our phones, human interaction is still so beautiful and worth chasing!
Mmmm maybe
