i think the thing I’ve learned about love
is that I’ll never understand it!

not like I try to anyways. 

not like I hope to go back decade by decade,
looking through the patterns I follow.

at the arms I fell into
And the ones I fell out of.
And how both mean just as much to me.

there were times I felt love through feelings I was seen
And others when it made no sense.

love has left me broken and bent
And healed,
And confused,
And found again.

And I try
And i REALLYYYY try to understand

but love is something only meant to experience.
