If you’re one of those waste-of-school-fees students who turn in assignments when the class captain is about to leave for the staff room — then I’m glad I’m not alone.
We’d probably be enough to form 100 football teams.
We’d always write as fast as our fingers could carry us, sweat (and hope to God the teacher doesn't notice our sweat-droplets), and breathe uncontrollably, as we copy-paste someone’s work.
Only to swear not to ever put ourselves in such a situation ever again.
But you know how that always ends, right?
The next day comes and we’re late to submit again — that we have to go to the office of the teacher and beg ourselves.
We get turned down, take that walk of shame down the school corridor, and vow to do assignments ASAP.
But guess what?
We’re back at the old habit again the following day.
I concluded that there’s something that we love about submitting late. What’s your reason? (reply and tell me).
I’ll go first. It makes me feel powerful. Maybe not as powerful as shutting off Twitter in a whole country, but powerful enough to not want to turn in nothing.
At least, until I hear “Submit your assignment” - by the noise-makers-writing-class-captain. (Very fortunately, I always made it to the top of their list).
I wrote a piece on Instagram some days ago and some people cried crocodile tears (not because their names were wrongly added to the list of noise-makers) in the comment section. I bet most of them read it and thought I had written this Instagram birthday-wish post — weeks ago.
LOL. I wish I was that responsible.
Yes. It was my baby’s day on that day but a responsible man should have constructed his lines days before, right?
Not me!
Well, maybe I’m not a responsible boyfriend in that department but talk about the taking-out-bae department?
I’m king there;
I lied. My friend (on the right) — forced my introverted-self out with bae.
Do I still qualify as a responsible-boyfriend? Well, you’ll tell me.
Let me leave you with something I hope you’ll turn in on time before the 80+ man shuts down the internet.
