How hard is it to proofreed you're work?
Your an adult, you shoudln’t be making basec mistaeks!!
Writers are the greatest perfectionists after surgeons. Because of course, we don’t expect a surgeon to forget his tools inside a human.
Writers are equally more critical of ourselves than a judge at America’s Got Talent.
I’m sure this has happened to every writer: You write a piece, go through it, correct the grammar errors, and hit publish. Only to notice an error after publishing.
Sometimes, I could even stare at my article for so long and find errors that aren’t there. It’s why I don’t read most of my work. Once it goes live, I give up the control to YOU.
Honestly, I get tired of typing and having to correct myself immediately as I type. I mean, that's something that I struggle with. And it's already bad enough that we as experienced writers block a moment where it's like nothing is happening. But then, it's even harder when you can't help yourself while you're typing. At the same time, your editing brain can't just turn itself off. And you always find yourself typing and then fixing mistakes as I type. And so,
I stumbled on this raw and sarcastic note by
that intentionally leaves the mistakes as is:And I'm sure most of us experience this while we're typing on our keyboards. And we miss a word or we misspell something in the process of typing.
I’ve often thought about how the future of writing could possibly be writers learning to leave their mistakes as is.
Writers learning to say NO to grammarly and say YES to humanly.

I’m a firm believer that hitting the publish button introduces grammar mistakes that were not there previously .
At least that’s what I tell myself 😄
Brilliant! Whenever I make mistakes I tell myself, “the errors mean I’m passionate!!!”
